ARANYA 2014

14th - 16th November 2014

 

       

Thapar University, Patiala organized its annual technical fest Aranya from 14th - 16th November 2014. The fest gave a platform to the Engineering students where they can test their skills.

Mr. Mridul Verma from Mechanical Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon was selected as the Campus Ambassador for the fest. The main duty of the campus ambassador is to promote the events of fest both online and offline and encourage his peers to enthusiastically participate in the events.

There were many interesting events at the fest. These were categorised under 3 heads:

1. MEGA TECHNICAL EVENTS,

2. SPORTS

3. ON THE SPOT TECHNICAL EVENTS.

Mega Technical Events included the following programs:

“Arjun”- in this student were required to make a Remote control tank same as used by military.

“Chemi-Canon”- Students were to make a pressure using chemicals so that it can blow off a cork.

Other exciting events at the fest were Hover-on, mine detector etc.

The fest gave a healthy and sporty touch to the students by conducting sports competitions including Tennis, badminton etc.

On the spot events included making of bridges and building by using pipes and plastic.

Students thoroughly enjoyed the fest and simultaneously learned a lot from the activities.
